Boys and Girls Track and Field Preview

The 2014 boys track team will have Isaac Greener, Gatlin Keehner and Tyson Dolon throwing shot put and Discus. Six different boys will high jump, including Noah Schultz and Issac Sauer. Sauer, Seth Heying and Bryce Burke will long jump. The 4x800 relay team will include Chase Strub, Adam Greener, Bryce McKee and Bryce Decker. Cody Mason and Tristan Kautman will run 110 meter high hurdles and the 400 low hurdles. Featured runners will be Noah Schultz at the 100, Sam Pfeiffer at the 800 and 1600 and Austin Schoulte at the 200 and 400 meter distances. Mason and Schoulte will be half of the shuttle hurdle team, with the other half yet to be determined. Brian Ayers will run the 3200.

 

For the girls team, Hayley Vogt will run the 100 meter and Madelyn Vogt the 200. Other distances will be fielded per meet. Marcy Klein and Chaun’te Drahn will fill spots at 400 and 800 and on relays. Those competing in the field events are yet to be determined.

 

Both the boys and girls are scheduled to start their season with a meet at River Ridge, in Bloomington, Wis., on Thursday, April 3.
