New location in the works for annual Easter egg hunt

The annual Easter egg hunt traditionally held on the grounds of the Guttenberg Care Center will continue this year on Saturday, April 19, at a site to be announced.
Following last week's announcement that the hunt was going to be cancelled this year due to construction work at the Care Center, the Guttenberg Rotary Club stepped forward and offered to partner with the Care Center to continue the tradition at another site.
“By partnering on this project, Rotary will help continue a great tradition that the Care Center started 35 years ago," said Rotary President Peggy Degnan. "This way the event won’t have to skip this year due to the construction of the new assisted living. We know that kids and families look forward to this well-established Easter tradition, as well as do the Care Center residents, so now it’s a win-win for everyone."
Plans call for care center residents to prepare the eggs for the hunt as they have in the past. Rotary officials anticipate a meeting with the park board before announcing the new site for this year's hunt. Watch The Press for further information.
