Although the weather outside was cold and blustery, the atmosphere inside the MFL MarMac auditorium was “Hot, Hot, Hot!” Sunday evening, as the district welcomed the Wisconsin Singers to Monona to perform their newest show, “Hot, Hot, Hot!” MFL MarMac’s Young Americans opened the show and got the crowd excited with some 80’s hits.

The Wisconsin Singers, all students at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, sang over 60 songs from a variety of genres. There were both classic hits from stars like Billy Joel, Stevie Nicks, Frank Sinatra, Elton John and John Denver, as well as contemporary songs from Adele, Katy Perry, Mumford and Sons, Maroon 5 and My Chemical Romance. The Wisconsin Singers and their band also regaled the Iowa Hawkeye fans with some UW staples, singing “On Wisconsin,” “Varsity” and “Teach Me How to Bucky.” The performances were a mix of singing and instrumentals, with fast-paced, high-energy dancing and speedy song transitions.
