Hawkettes are Statebound!

The Prairie du Chien Hawkette Dance Team will be making their first appearance at the Wisconsin Association of Cheer and Dance Coaches (WACPC) State Dance Competition! The team competed last weekend at the southern regional dance competition in Watertown. The girls earned fifth place in the pom category, just missing the cut off to qualify for state in that category. However, the girls earned a second-place plaque in the high kick category, earning them the opportunity to advance on the state competition! Coach Kelli Saxe said, “The looks on the girls’ faces when they heard their team name announced is a moment I will never forget! I am just so proud of these young ladies! They have worked so hard and are so deserving of this opportunity!” The team will perform at approximately 12:52 p.m., at the La Crosse Center this coming Saturday. They would love to have some fan support!
