Jane A. Hefel
Jane Ann Hefel, 65, of Guttenberg, passed away at 9:06 a.m., Monday, Jan. 6, 2014, at the Guttenberg Hospital of natural causes.
Visitation was Thursday, Jan. 9, at Behr Funeral Home, Dubuque, and before services at the Immaculate Conception Church Hall in North Buena Vista.
Funeral services were Friday, Jan. 10, at Immaculate Conception Church in North Buena Vista, conducted by Rev. Marvin J. Bries.
Burial was in Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
Jane was born on April 8, 1948, in Colesburg, daughter of Russell and Ila (Moser) Weyant.
Jane married Greg Hefel on Oct. 16, 1971, at the Immaculate Conception Church in North Buena Vista. Jane was a Mary Kay lady who took great pride in her appearance and keeping a tidy home. She was very family and friend oriented and loved to help others. Jane loved to sit and talk, cook and travel. She had an infectious laugh and a smile you could never forget.
Jane is survived by her husband of 42 years, Greg Hefel, Guttenberg; her daughter, Malinda (Keith) Kramer, Guttenberg; her grandson, Gregor Kramer, Guttenberg; her mother, Ila Weyant, Guttenberg; her three sisters, Barbara Herman, Colesburg, Judy Weyant, Guttenberg, Lori (Ray) Horstman, Guttenberg; her two brothers, Owen "Pete" (fiancé, Jeanette) Weyant, Worthington, Tom (Dorothy) Weyant, Guttenberg; brother-in-law, Clarence "Nick" (Sandy) Hefel, Bettendorf, and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Jane was preceded in death by her father; her niece, Courtney Eglseder and her brother-in-law, Robert Herman.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Merrick, Dr. Shafer and the nurses and staff at the Guttenberg Hospital for all of the wonderful care they provided for Jane all these past years.
A Jane Ann Hefel memorial fund has been established.
