D.A. gives to law enforcement

Crawford County District Attorney Tim Baxter recently presented a check for about $21,000 to Crawford County Sheriff Dale McCullick and Prairie du Chien Chief of Police Chad Abram. “These funds will be used toward new equipment and specialized training for our officers,” Sheriff McCullick stated. “With the tight budgets all law enforcement agencies have to adhere to, these funds will provide a means to obtain training and materials we might not otherwise be able to acquire,” Chief Abram said. Both officers confirmed the resurgence of heroin and other illegal drugs statewide and indicated these funds could provide significant assistance with the investigation and prosecution of these controlled substance crimes here in Crawford County.
