Nedra Jean Sinram, 85, Prairie du Chien, formerly of Monona, Iowa, and Nashua, Iowa died Monday, Jan. 20, at the Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital in Prairie du Chien.
She was born June 30, 1928 to Edwin and Bernice (Schultz) Brunner in Roseville, Iowa. Nedra graduated from Greene High School in Greene, Iowa.
Nedra was united in marriage with Robert Sinram on June 13, 1948, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Two children were born to this union, Roberta and Jeff. Nedra and Bob owned and operated Bob’s IGA for many years. She enjoyed reading and playing cards, especially bridge.
Nedra is survived by her two children, Roberta (Michael) Healy of Monona, Iowa and Jeff (Cindy) Sinram of Prairie du Chien; five grandchildren, Megan (Cory) Clark of North Liberty, Iowa, Erin Healy of Iowa City, Iowa, Adam Sinram of Milwaukee, Nick Sinram of Milwaukee, and Evan Sinram of Prairie du Chien; two great-grandchildren, Gowen Clark and Lily Sinram; sister-in-law, Kay Brunner of Nashua and many nieces and nephews.
Nedra was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, in 2007; her parents; her sister, Ruth (Robert) Casper and her brother, Jim Brunner.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Nedra’s honor.
A private memorial service will be held on Friday, Jan. 24, at the Leonard – Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Monona, Iowa.
A public visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 24, at the Leonard – Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Monona, Iowa. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
