Violet G. Clark, 89, formerly of Prairie du Chien passed away Wednesday, Jan. 1, at the Palatka Health Care Center in Palatka, Fla.
She was born Sept. 14, 1924 in Brodtville, the daughter of Ned and Goldie (Rockwell) Yost. She married Floyd Clark on Oct. 14, 1942 in St. Louis, Mo. She and her husband owned and operated the Delta Motel in Prairie du Chien and Violet later retired from 3M Company in Prairie du Chien.
She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Floyd Clark of Palatka, Fla.; her son Robert (Marcia) Clark of McGregor, Iowa; her daughter Sharon Bryars of Columbia Falls, Mont.; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Melvin and two sisters, Lula and Viola.
A graveside service will be held later at the Brodtville Cemetery in Wyalusing Township. The Garrity Funeral Home of Prairie du Chien assisted the family.
