UW-P student accused of computer crimes

PLATTEVILLE—A UW-Platteville student faces 13 charges after police said he illegally accessed the computer data of five professors and stole keys from a campus building he broke into.

Neel V. Patel, 21, who is from Janesville but lives in a UW-P dorm, faces felony charges of burglary and possession of burglary tools, as well as misdemeanor charges of criminal damage to property, theft, computer crimes-modify data and eight counts of computer crimes-access data.
