Bulldog boys torpedo Pirates in 72-37 win

The MFL MarMac Bulldogs outplayed the Postville Pirates Dec. 17, en route to a 72-37 victory. Although the Pirates held Cody Mason to 13 points, his low point for the season, both Noah Schultz and Tristan Kautman were big contributors, as Schultz scored 12 and Kautman added 11 points. Austin Schoulte led all scorers with 14 points. Ten Bulldogs put points on the board.
The Bulldogs led 19-8 after one quarter of play, and 41-18 at the half. They then put the game away in the third quarter, with the Bulldogs leading 61-25. Postville outscored the Bulldog bench 14-13 in the fourth quarter, but the Bulldogs pulled off the victory.
Cody Mason had another double-double; he had 11 rebounds and hit four out of five free throws. As a team, the Bulldogs were 12 of 13 from the stripe. This game also marked the return of Landon Schultz, who scored six points. The Bulldogs now have all 14 of their varsity players active.
The Bulldogs are now 3-0 in the conference—a half game behind South Winn—and 4-0 overall. Postville fell to 2-1 in the conference and 2-3 overall.
