Lorrene C. Caldwell, 92, of Wauzeka passed away Wednesday, Dec. 11, at the Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital.
She was born April 26, 1921 in Reinbeck, Iowa, the daughter of Christian and Christine (Ramondt) Lorenz. She married Clarence Caldwell on Dec. 31, 1947 and he later preceded her in death on Dec. 27, 1989. She worked at Chamberlain Ordnance Inc. in Waterloo, Iowa for many years before moving to Wauzeka.
She is survived by her dear friend George Dittman of Wauzeka; stepdaughter Cloey (LeRoy) Nickerson of Winthrop, Iowa and stepson Kenneth Caldwell of Arizona; seven step grandchildren; twenty-three step great grandchildren and four step great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother Elmer Lorenz.
Funeral services will be Monday, Dec. 16, at 10:30 a.m. at the Garrity Funeral Home Chapel in Prairie du Chien, with Rev. Joel Oines officiating. Interment will follow in the Wauzeka Cemetery in Wauzeka. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, Dec. 16, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.
