Richard R. “Dick” Kilburg, 79, of Eastman passed away Monday, Dec. 9, at the Prairie Maison Care Center in Prairie du Chien.
He was born April 15, 1934 in Wauzeka, the son of Alfred and Irene (Schmidt) Kilburg. He served in the U.S. Army and later returned to work on the family farm. Dick was active in the American Legion and did some logging.
He is survived by his brother Rev. John Kilburg of San Antonio, Texas; his sisters, Carolyn Henry of Prairie du Chien, Priscilla (Larry) Kelley of Eastman, Inez Paynter of Sun Prairie, Linda (Ken) Crowley of Oregon, Wis. and a sister-in-law Florence Kilburg of Wauzeka. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Michael and Allen along with a sister Sharon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, Dec. 14, at 11 a.m. at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Eastman, Rev. Victor Feltes officiating with burial in the church cemetery. Military Honors will be accorded by the Department of Veterans Affairs and American Legion Post 252. Friends may call at the church on Saturday, Dec. 14, from 9 a.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Eastman First Responders or St. Wenceslaus Church. The Garrity Funeral Home is assisting the family.
