Neva I. Lessard, 70, of Prairie du Chien passed away Saturday, Nov. 23, at her home surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
She was born Oct. 12, 1943 in Bagley, the daughter of Frank and Bessie (Bedward) Baures. She married Richard Lessard on Nov. 8, 1958 in Prairie du Chien. He preceded her in death on March 18, 2006. She worked as a caregiver for Homeward Bound in Prairie du Chien for 17 years.
She is survived by her sons, Richard “Squeak” Lessard Jr. of Waukon, Iowa and Brett (Brenda) Lessard Sr. of Waterville, Iowa; grandchildren, Felicia (Brian) Kober, Andrea (Terry) Miller, Amber (Bob) Lier, Lacey (Matthew) McCormick and Jacklyn (Brian) Burroughs, Brett Lessard Jr. and Tory Lessard; twenty-five great grandchildren; a sister Kay Wulf of Clearwater, Fla. and a special niece Tammy Adney. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband along with several brothers and sisters.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date. The Garrity Funeral Home of Prairie du Chien is assisting the family.
