Two from De Soto arrested in meth bust
On Nov. 13, at approximately 9:42 p.m., the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department was attempting to locate two wanted subjects at 11736 Highway 35, Lot 12 in Freeman Township.
While attempting to make contact with the subjects, the deputies observed items related to the manufacturing of methamphetamine. While deputies were securing the scene, one subject identified as John C. Haggerty, 48, De Soto, ran out the rear exit of the residence. Deputies placed Haggerty into custody. Deputies also placed Jody R. Boardman, 56, De Soto, into custody. The residence was secured by deputies and a search of the residence was conducted the morning of Nov. 14.
Several items associated with the manufacturing, use of and delivery of methamphetamine were found during the search.
Haggerty and Boardman are being held at the Crawford County Jail. Charges are being referred to the Crawford County Cistrict Attorney’s Office.
Assisting the Sheriff’s Department on scene were the Prairie du Chien Police Department, the Vernon County Sheriff’s Department, the Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigation, the Wisconsin Clear Team Task Force, and the Chicago Crime Scene Clean-up.
