During Fire Prevention Week Oct. 6-12, B.A. Kennedy students enjoyed a presentation by the Prairie du Chien Fire Department. In one portion of the show, they learned not to be afraid of the “friendly firefighters.” Pictured with her classmates is kindergartener Bobbi Finney greeting firefighters Ben Pintz (left) and Tim Deluhery Jr.  (Photos by Correne Martin)The Prairie du Chien Fire Department presented its annual Fire Prevention Week show to students at B.A. Kennedy (kindergarten pictured), Bluff View Intermediate School and St. Gabriel’s School last Thursday. The fun and interactive performances carried a theme of “Prevent Kitchen Fires” and included information about “Stop, Drop and Roll,” calling 911 in an emergency, staying away from a hot stove, not playing with a stove, and being prepared for exit drills in the home.
