Lee M. Smith
Lee Michael Smith, 21, of Garnavillo, died Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Visitation was Monday, Sept. 30, at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Garnavillo, and one hour before services at the church.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Oct. 1, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Garnavillo, conducted by Rev. Marvin Bries.
Interment was at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Garnavillo.
He was born the son of Michael Smith and Sandy (Wall) Schaefers on April 13, 1992, in Prairie du Chien, Wis.
Lee attended the Clayton Ridge School where he graduated with the class of 2010. After school, Lee worked in construction and most recently he was constructing pole buildings for High Performance Construction. Whenever he could, Lee enjoyed spending time with his friends, hunting, especially turkey and deer, watching basketball and football, especially the Minnesota Vikings.
Lee will forever live in the hearts of many, especially his mother, Sandra (Andy) Schaefers; father, Michael Smith; five siblings, Cheryl Smith, Derek Smith, Taylor Schaefers, Nicole Schaefers and Emily Schaefers; grandparents, Maxine Wall, Gerry Smith and Pearl Schaefers; special friend, Rachel Lange and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Bernard Wall, Willard Smith, Francis Schaefers and Lee’s aunt, Sharon Wall.
