MFL MarMac Volleyball highlights

Sept. 24 vs. Ed-Co
The Edgewood-Colesburg Vikings came to Monona Sept. 24 and swept the Bulldogs in three sets, winning 25-11, 25-7 and 25-9.
Jillian Haberichter was the most successful server for the Bulldogs going 8-8. Bailey Boland had nine digs and Kayla Keehner had five. Amber Adney had three kills and Ashley Heins added two. With the loss, the Bulldogs’ record dropped to 0-12 overall and 0-4 in the conference. Ed-Co went to 5-4 overall and 2-1 in conference play.
Sept. 28 Decorah Tourney
The Volleyball team traveled to Decorah on Sept. 28 to play in the Decorah Tournament. First up for the Bulldogs was a conference foe, the Central Warriors. Central defeated the Bulldogs 25-10, 25-11. The Bulldogs managed four kills and a 13-15 serve efficiency, with Briana Berger going four for four with an ace.
South Winn was next, winning a pair of 21-12 decisions. Nattalee Heins was the serve leader, going five for five with an ace. Amber Adney also managed an ace. The Bulldogs had three total kills and were 18 of 21 serving.
Wapsie Valley, the number 14 ranked team in 2A, was the next opponent and bested the Bulldogs 21-3 and 21-5. Ashley Heins managed two of three kills.
The fourth opponent was the host Decorah Vikings. Decorah defeated the Bulldogs 21-13 and 21-8. Amber Adney had three service aces of six in the match. The Bulldogs were 18 of 18 serving and managed three kills.
The Postville Pirates were the fifth opponent and the Lady Pirates won 21-9 and 21-10. No service aces were recorded and the Bulldogs were 14 of 17 serving. The team managed four kills and two blocks.
After the tournament, the Bulldogs dropped to 0-17 overall and 0-4 in conference.
