The Waukon match was supposed to be played in Monona, but, due to the heat on Monday, was moved to the air conditioned gym at Waukon. The girls were swept in three sets 25-20, 25-15 and 25-15 despite the cooler building. Briana Berger, Amber Adney and Jillian Haberichter were perfect on the serve line. Adney and Haberichter both had four kills, while Adney added six digs and Haberichter three kills. With the loss, the Bulldogs’ record fell to 0-2.

At the Maquoketa Valley tournament, the Bulldogs finished fourth, losing to all of the other three participates. Host Maquoketa Valley defeated them 21-12 and 21-13. Tipton defeated the Bulldogs 21-6 and 21-10 and Cedar Valley Christian defeated them 21-8 and 21-19.
