The young and the young at heart enjoyed Wauzeka’s annual Labor Day celebration last weekend. Monday’s parade was short and sweet, yet hometown focused and very patriotic. Of course, the youngest attendees were highly interested in collecting some candy to satisfy their holiday craving. (Photos by Correne Martin)
Firetrucks were the main attraction in the parade, led of course by the hometown fleet from Wauzeka.
Justin Check was one of the few tractor drivers to roll through main street Wauzeka for Monday’s festivities, showcasing his 1953 Minneapolis Moline UB.
This pair of youngsters happily took to a big rig to promote Wauzeka’s Lomas Electric in Monday’s annual Labor Day parade.
What’s a Labor Day parade without music devoted the grand old flag? Clad in their school colors, the Wauzeka-Steuben band kicked off their parade season by marching to some patriotic tunes.
