Monona man wanted in injured toddler case finally arrested
DUBUQUE, IOWA—A man accused of injuring an eastern Iowa toddler was arrested in Dubuque Saturday night.
Troy Laufenberg, 21, Monona, Iowa, was arrested by the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation just before 10 p.m. Saturday at the Road Ranger on Central Avenue, according to KWWL-TV.
Laufenberg was arrested on a charge of violation of probation. He also faces charges in Wisconsin and in Clayton County.
Clayton County authorities said Laufenberg is responsible for severely injuring Myah Larson, Monona. Laufenberg is charged with child endangerment.
Authorities said the 18-month-old suffered injuries consistent with shaken-baby syndrome on July 15.
