Kim M. Doll, 54, of Wauzeka, passed away quietly at home surrounded by her family and friends on Tuesday, Aug. 13, after a courageous fight with cancer.
She was born Nov. 18, 1958 in Prairie du Chien, the daughter of James and Beverly (Bird) Mezera. She married Mark Doll on Aug. 17, 1985 in Wauzeka. Kim was a founding and active member of the Wauzeka First Responders, a responsibility she took very seriously. She was a generous person with her time and companionship, willing to help people no matter how she was feeling. Kim spent many hours knitting (particularly slippers). She also loved to share a freshly caught fish dinner with her friends and family.
She is survived by her husband of 28 years Mark Doll of Wauzeka; her daughters, Billie Mezera of Wauzeka, Teresa (Charlie) LaFave of Prairie du Chien and Cathy Doll of Wauzeka; her son Patrick Doll of Wauzeka; her brothers, Rick (Retta Sue) and Robin (Vicky) Mezera both of Wauzeka and Ron (Julie) Mezera of Kenosha; her sister Kit (Jeff) Haines of Mayville; along with many loving aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter Kristin; a niece Lisa Mezera and a brother-in-law Wesley Face.
A memorial service will be Wednesday, Aug. 21, at 6 p.m. at Century Hall in Wauzeka. Inurnment will follow in the Wauzeka Cemetery. Friends may call at Century Hall on Wednesday, Aug. 21, from 2 p.m. until the time of services. The Garrity Funeral Home of Prairie du Chien is assisting the family.
