Hoppers battle La Crosse A’s

On Sunday, July 21, the Prairie du Chien Grasshoppers faced off against the La Crosse A’s in their final regular season game.

La Crosse started out the game scoring two in the first inning, which the Hoppers answered at the bottom of the second with two runs of their own.

The bottom of the fourth and fifth also saw the Hoppers scoring two runs each inning, and leaving the final score of the game at 2-6.

Pitching for the first five innings was Brad Jones, replaced in the sixth with Tyler Nack, who took the win.

Starting on Wednesday, Prairie du Chien will be hosting the Regional Tournament on St. Feriole Island. Games start at 3 p.m. At 8 p.m., Prairie du Chien will take the field against rival Viroqua.
