Ferryville River Bluff Daze coming

A busy and noisy day is in store for everyone in Ferryville on Saturday, July 27. The day begins at 9 am with Market in the Park, featuring Amish goods, produce and a variety of products in Sugar Creek Park. Also at 9 a.m., many antique tractors will be arriving at Ferryville Community Center to register for the antique tractor pull. At noon, the Seventh Annual Reuben Knutson Memorial tractor pull will begin. To register for the Antique Tractor Pull, go to ferryvilletractor.com.

Beginning at 12 p.m., all children will be able to participate in the kids games at the fire department. Food and beverages will be available at the Community Center, provided by Freeman Lutheran Church. Adult beverages will be provided by the Ferryville Fire Department and First Responders.

Transportation to the Market in Sugar Creek Park will be available via tractor and wagon. Food and a variety of venders are available at the Market.

The annual Ferryville Vision and Promotion Board (FV&PB) raffle will feature a quilt entitled “Turtles Gone Wild,” a hi-fired original stoneware bowl from Kay’s Potiques, a retired “Nellie” American Girl Doll and a $100 Cabala gift certificate. All will be on display and raffle tickets are available all day at the Community Center. The raffle will be drawn and winners announced at 9 p.m.

The quilt was designed by Virginia Johnson of Olde Tyme Quilt Shoppe and FV&PB members. Johnson has since passed away, so this is a very special quilt—her last one for the Ferryville raffle.

The tractor pull will be ending at 4:30 p.m. Then activity will move downtown where the restaurants will have specials. The Swing Inn and the Wooden Nickel Saloon both have food specials. The Sportsman’s will be featuring a live band to begin playing at 7 p.m.

Oohs and aahs will end the day when fireworks fill the skies over the river at Ferryville at dusk. The show is put on each year by Mike and Roberta Callaway and staff of Cheapo Depot/Fireworks Outlet and also sponsored by Ferryville Vision and Promotion Board, with donations by the entire community.

Come to Ferryville on Saturday, July 27 for a full and fun-filled day. For more details, go to www.visitferryville.com.
